Foul Play Cafe

Additional Details:

  • Shows at Foul Play Cafe are performed in the round with audience interaction at the Sheraton Uptown.
  • All roles are paid a per show stipend plus you will get tips.


If you are cast, your job will consist of:

  • Acting, both scripted and improvisational.
  • Setting up and breaking down our performance space before and after each show.
  • Waiting tables, in character, during intermissions.
  • Rehearsals will include improv and service training.
  • If you are new to our venue and have never seen a show with us, you will be required to sit in on a show by May 15th.

  • KING BARTHOLOMEW OLSTEAD:(Older Male) King of Worcester.  Has brought everyone together so he can choose a suitable husband for his daughter.
    • ROLAND OLSTEAD: Same actor as King Bartholomew.  Bumbling alchemist and brother of King Bartholomew.  Has been locked in the tower for the last thirteen years by King Bartholomew
  • QUEEN TAMARA OLSTEAD:(Older Female) Queen of Worcester.  Is sympathetic to her daughter, but loyal to her husband
  • PRINCESS EMMA OLSTEAD:(Young adult Female) Princess of Worcester.  In love with Orin, but her father is arranging for her to be married to someone else
    • ELIZABETH TOWNSEND: Same actress as Princess Emma.  Illegitimate child of King Bartholomew who arrives in Worcester seeking her father and her rightful place in the family
  • ORIN:(open age, Male) Jester of Worcester and secret lover of Princess Emma
  • IVAN/NA:(Open casting) Cook for King Bartholomew’s castle, and has recently invented a condiment s/he calls Worcester Sauce after the Kingdom of Worcester.  The only person who knows of the relationship between Emma and Orin besides themselves

 Synopsis:

King Bartholomew Olstead and his wife, Queen Tamara, are looking for a husband for Princess Emma.  While Ivan slaves away in his kitchen and Orin, the court jester, tries to keep everyone entertained, some surprise guests may make an appearance.  What happens in the kingdom of Worcester doesn't necessarily stay in the kingdom of Worcester.
