What is Foul Play Cafe?
Foul Play Cafe is Albuquerque's premier interactive mystery dinner theater. We offer an evening of dining and comedic murder mystery where you must decide whodunit! The evening consists of a four course dinner and a live performance occurring in and around your table. You may even find you have a role in the performance. Watch carefully as clues fly fast and funny to determine who did it and why. At the end of the evening if you are correct you have a chance to win a limited edition T-shirt from Foul Play Cafe proclaiming you solved the mystery for that show!
Is it any good?
Foul Play Cafe may be new, but we have a lot of experience. If you liked Albuquerque's Mystery Cafe (closed since early 2010), you will love Foul Play Cafe. We are run by veterans of the old dinner theater, and have lots of new ideas that we are implementing to make the show even more enjoyable. Give us time, and I know we will be bragging about recognitions and awards in the community.
Where are you located?
Starting the first weekend of December 2011, performances will be located at Albuquerque's Sheraton Uptown, (this was where the old Cafe was for years). The address is: 2600 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque NM 87110. This is at the corner of Louisiana and Menaul.
Where should I park?
The Sheraton Uptown has a generous parking lot in front of the hotel, parking is provided free of charge to guests.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $55 per person (includes tax), and includes a four course meal and the show. Actor's Gratuity is not included.
Pricing for kids 10 and under is $32 (includes tax).
Where can I buy tickets?
You can make reservations by calling 505-377-9593. You can also make reservations by using the contact form. Tickets are will-call, meaning when you arrive for the show, we will confirm your reservation and take payment at that time. You can pay by Cash or debit/credit card.
When you call or send us an email, we will get back to you in the evening to confirm the reservation (either the same day or the next). Please make sure to leave your name and phone number so we may do so and the best time frame to call you during.
I'd like to buy a friend tickets, do you have gift certificates available?
We will be offering gift certificates through our gift store.
It's so&so's birthday/anniversary etc... can we do something special for them?
We have a normal segment during our show where we recognize anyone celebrating a special event, however let us know ahead of time and we will ensure they get an extra special recognition with their dessert.
Can I bring my kids?
We are an all-ages venue. We simply ask our parents to make the decision of whether the show is appropriate or not for their children. Our shows contain no vulgarity, nudity, or obsenity, however there is a TON of innuendo. Also keep in mind the show runs until about 10:30pm...It is our experience that tired children are not happy children!
How long is the show?
Generally the shows run 2-2.5 hours.
What should I wear?
We recommend "dressy casual", it is a fun night out after all.
I'm Really Not Comfortable Being on Stage...Do I Have to Participate?
Of course not! Our actors are trained to read our guest's comfort level with interaction. You are not required to participate, however we strongly believe that you will enjoy yourself more if you keep an open mind.
What will I be eating?
When you make your reservation you can select a Beef, Chicken or Vegetarian entree. We also offer children's selections for kids 10 and under. Please see our menu page for more details.
